NSFW Tools AI is a curated directory of adult AI platforms — companions, chats, image and video generators. Every listing on this site goes through the same evaluation process before it appears in our reviews and category rankings. This page explains exactly how that process works.
Our Rating Criteria
Each platform receives an editorial rating from 1.0 to 5.0, based on four dimensions:
- Output quality — realism and coherence of conversations, images, video or voice, and how consistent a companion or character stays over time.
- Creative freedom — how much the platform actually allows: content filters, customization depth, character and scenario control.
- Value — what the free tier really includes, what paid plans cost, and whether the price matches what you get. We record the entry price on every review and re-check it periodically.
- Maturity and trust — platform track record, community size, privacy practices and content policies (we treat clear anti-deepfake and consent policies as a plus).
How Rankings Are Built
Category rankings (our “Top 10” pages) compare platforms within one use case — gay AI chat, AI video generation, free NSFW chat and so on. A platform is ranked only in categories where its actual feature set fits: an image generator does not appear in chat rankings just because it is popular. When a platform shuts down, degrades, or fails our content-policy bar, it is removed from rankings — positions are not permanent and not for sale within ranked lists.
What We Exclude
We do not list tools built for non-consensual imagery: “undress” apps, celebrity deepfake generators and similar services are excluded from this site regardless of their popularity, and we removed existing listings of this kind in 2026. We also exclude parked or misleading landing pages that do not match the advertised product.

This funds the site, but it does not buy placement — ratings and ranking positions are editorial, many highly ranked platforms pay us nothing, and monetized tools receive no rating advantage. Paid placements, where they exist, are limited to clearly separate advertising slots (see our Advertise page) and never alter review scores.
Update Policy
Reviews carry the date of their last revision, and entry prices are marked with the date they were last checked. Rankings are revisited when platforms change materially — new features, pricing shifts, shutdowns — and the whole catalog gets a scheduled review pass at least quarterly. Spotted something outdated?
